I believe happiness is a feeling of inner contentment – and cheer fostered by imagination, gratitude, triumphs, and sharing. I’m no doctor in psychology. I am a hopeful spirit, willing to share. Our “Big 5 Steps to Happy” is chosen from the Mayo Clinic. Their research of what takes us happy people, aligned with basic – good values. I can feel the truth in it. It makes sense. I believe it. Big 5 Steps to Happy
- Devote time to family and friends
- Appreciate what you have
- Maintain optimism
- Develop a Sense of Purpose
- Live in the moment
Considerations: Like an Olympic athlete going for gold, work is required. We all have strengths and weaknesses. Share your strengths and practice to get better. These steps are highly dependent on personality – thoughts – and behaviors that can be changed. Again, practice yourself to happiness; it’s doable.
